Board Roles & Responsibilities
Each board member plays a key role in advancing the mission of their chapter. Whether you’re leading programming, managing communications, or building partnerships, your leadership helps shape the chapter’s growth and impact. Explore the roles below to find where your strengths can shine.
President
Executes strategies set by the national board, manages external relations, and leads the chapter’s growth and development.
Vice President
Organizes board meetings, and ensures adherence to chapter objectives. Acts as President in their absence.
Treasurer
Manages finances, prepares annual budget, tracks revenue and expenses, and ensures financial accountability.
Secretary
Maintains chapter records, including meeting agendas, minutes, and the membership roster.
Requirements
Join and maintain NAAIA membership;
Attend chapter meetings, events and national programs;
Raise or contribute $500 annually;
Serve two-year board term;
Adhere to federal, state and NAAIA National guidelines for chapter operations;
Member Chair
Leads the effort to recruit and retain members, working closely with marketing and programs.
Programs Chair
Plans and executes chapter events, including meetings and special initiatives.
Agent Chair
Develops programs that support agent’s professional growth and business development.
Marketing/PR Chair
Manages the chapter’s public image, including social media, press relations, and event promotion.
Emerging Leaders Chair
Creates programs to engage professionals under age 40 and foster their leadership development.
Nominations & Elections Chair
Facilitates board elections, managing nominations, ballots, and election results.
At-Large Members
Contribute to overall chapter governance and support standing committees.
